Summer Reading Challenge
Strong reading skills are critical to a child’s future regardless of what they set out to accomplish. Studies show that reading aloud to kids of any age helps grow their vocabulary, stimulate their imagination, and promote problem-solving and social skills.
The long summer break can reduce your child’s reading ability – but, never fear – your favorite librarians are here with a plan! We want to read 900 books this summer and we need your help. If everyone can read just ONE book every day in June and July we can meet our goal and celebrate!
